Mexican actress Ximena Romo rose to her prominence and got fame in the Mexican film industry. She was born on 14th April 1990 in Mexico City, Mexico in a family which was associated in politics. Her father Horacio Romo Vazquez was former leader of the Mexican Electrician Union while her mother Patricia Mercado was also involved in the politics. Although despite born in such family, she decided from her childhood that her path would be totally different. She was not so ever want to enter in political scene and didn’t even think to make a career in it. After getting professional coaching of acting from CasAzul Performing Arts Argos, she got MA in contemporary acting from the University of London.

Before making her on screen debut, she initially started her career from a drama called I Will Explode in the role of Lucy. After that she made appearance in the film Maria en Oveja negra in the role of Maria in 2009. Her next film was ‘Rusty Sunrises’ (2010), directed by Diego Cohen, and where she got chance to work other senior as well famous actors. It was 2014 when she laded breakthrough role of Nora Gaxiola Murrilo in The Color of Passion and proved her acting capabilities. Throughout her career she made contribution and showcase her acting skills in numerous television and short films.
